Where to find a birth time: your birth certificate (long form, in many countries the short form omits it), hospital records, a baby book, a parent’s memory, or in some countries a national birth register. If a parent says it was around lunchtime, that is worth something but it is not enough to trust an ascendant to, because two hours either way changes it.

The order to read it in

1. Find your ascendant first. It is the sign on the left hand horizontal line of the chart wheel, at the nine o’clock position. That is your Virgo ascendant sign, or whatever else it turns out to be.
